Almaz's First Birthday!

12 month update
Almaz had her one year well-child check-up today. She is doing great! She's making great strides in height and weight, walks everywhere, mimics sounds and is still just super easy.

Almaz loves music and "sings" and bobs her head when music is on. She mimics my voice when I sing too. Just recently she has started to look at books on her own. Her favorite is Old Hat, New Hat. She taps her head (the sign for hat) and says the word "hat" too.

It is really fun to set Almaz down and give instructions like, "Almaz it is time for a bath" and then follow her while she toddles away to the bathroom.

Great news! We made Almaz's adoption court hearing for December 28th! It'll be wonderful to have her adoption wrapped up and official in 2007.

It's only been five months since Almaz has been part of our family and is seems like she has been here forever (in a good way)! We are so blessed to have Almaz in our family and are excited about what this next year brings.
