Alex's First Mountain Bike Race

Last night we went to Buck Hill (a small ski area) south of us in Burnsville, MN for a family-focused mountain bike race that is held every Thurs evening during the summer. Grant got beat up on the adult race (he's still learning how to not fall down on his mountain bike!) and Alex had an absolute blast during the kids race (pictures below). When Grant was racing and I was hanging out with the kids, we'd walk Alex's bike 30 yards or so up the hill, Alex would get on while I was holding the back of the bike, I'd let go and Alex would go barreling down the hill. He loved it. On the way home, I asked him which he liked better...going fast down the hill or racing and he said racing. So, for now, it seems he is more of a competitor than an adventure seeker!

And Almaz had fun with all the goggies (doggies) and wanted to give them all hugs. :-)
