Update

Okay, I know that "Update" isn't a very interesting title for this post but there are several different areas that we want you to know about it.

1. Alex's Baby Dedication was a perfect day! It was such a meaningful service and that evening we all went to an Ethiopian restaurant for dinner. It was so great to have our families together and, of course, Alex loved all the attention! The picture above was from last Sunday afternoon after the dedication service.

2. Ethiopian Kids Community is a group of families with children (adopted and biological) from Ethiopia. There was a big celebration picnic on Saturday, August 27th. We were able to catch up with many of the families whom we've met through the process and even families that we spent time with while we were in Ethiopia. 3. Our social worker will be at our house on Wednesday morning to conduct her first post-placement visit. I'm glad the process is nearly complete, but having another meeting in the near future makes me realize everything else that still needs to be done to complete this process. I was in such a paperwork frenzy before we traveled to get Alex that now since we have him the paperwork seems quite a bit less appealing. Wish us luck! We still have quite a bit more to muddle through.

4. Alex is such a joy. He is easy and funny and has the most beautiful laugh I've ever heard. He has started eating solids and is a BIG fan of applesauce.
