17 months and what a summer.....
Alex turned 17 months on July 22nd. That fell on the annual Ethiopia Day picnic for all families who have adopted from Ethiopia via CHSFS. We had so much fun being there and we left straight from the picnic to go to the airport on our way to Seattle.
As you can probably sense (especially due to the lack of postings on this blog), we've had a crazy-fun summer. Alex has loved being outside and all the playing and exploring. It's typical for people to comment on a child's growth when they see them occasionally but difficult to see kids changing when you see them all the time. This summer it's like we have been able to see Alex grow up before our eyes! It's a crazy thing to watch. He has changed so much and is turning into a little boy!
It's difficult to list "latest accomplishments" at this point since everything is building off of what Alex has already learned... he has more words, is more agile, is learning more signs, etc. He has officially entered the "terrible twos" stage and is increasingly difficult when he doesn't get what he wants. It is a phase, right?
I've posted random pictures of our past six weeks. They aren't in any specific order, but hopefully they'll give you a sense of our fun, crazy summer. - Anna

We've spent nearly every Wednesday at the Taylor's pool. This was one of many of those days. We've also spent a lot of time at the St. Louis Park aquatic park and at a local splash park. We've had lots of days in the water this summer!
End of July - Alex learned how to eat Otter Pops from his cousins while we were in Washington. Yum!
