20 months and new obsessions
The past month Alex has become obsessed with:
"Tees" - His toothbrush and toothpaste "toospase"
"Bees" - meaning all insects
"Nigh Nigh" (Darkness) - now that it is dark when he goes to bed and dark when he wakes up, he stands at the sliding glass door and waves outside and says "bye-bye" - I'm guessing he is saying goodbye to the outside?? The first few times he saw the darkness he was very confused!
Poopy and all things toilet/diaper related.
Demonstrations - for instance, if I say to Grant, "..and then Alex fell and hit his head on the floor" Alex will go right ahead and give the demonstration. We are quite a bit more careful what we say around him.
It's fun to see these interests/obsessions develop. Who knows what it will be next?!?
Great News! We will be turning in our application for Baby Girl tomorrow! This adoption will most likely take longer than Alex's adoption although we do hope to travel sometime in 2007. There are a lot more families adopting from Ethiopia now (most likely because they heard about Alex!) and we are also requesting a girl this time (families who are open to either gender typically have a shorter wait). I'm already "nesting" so hopefully the wait time isn't too long!!!
The family picture above is the one that we are using to send in with our application (Thanks, Blakers, for taking our picture with your fancy camera!) During this adoption we will typically update the blog monthly rather than weekly, or if something really important takes place.
