9 month pictures

Today is Alex’s 9 month birthday! In the past month Alex has become quite the big guy:

• He got his first two teeth.
• He has consistently been sleeping through the night!!!
• He is mobile (not quite crawling, but definitely maneuvering his way around).
• He is much more deliberate when playing with toys rather than just whacking at things.
• He claps at the right time in the song “When you’re happy and you know it….”
• He initiates peek-a-boo.
• He has become much more vocal and loves his da-da-da-da-da.
• He is a bit more leery of strangers and wants to be held more in unusual situations.

It’s been amazing to see these changes in Alex. I know all parents look for signs that their children are developing at the right time. As an adoptive parent, I can say that these development stages are so important to us. We are incredibly thankful for Alex's great health and beautiful laugh and for all the joy that he has brought us already this year.

Grandparent's weekend

Alex spent the weekend (Nov 3 - 7) with Grammie and Grandpa Braasch while we spent the weekend in San Francisco. I'm not sure who had the most fun! I think it was a win for all....

We've been convinced this was staged and he wasn't actually eating ice cream.
